We get the community together on the third Tuesday of every month. At each meetup, we discuss the Great Expectations Roadmap, watch ecosystem integration demos, and explore different ways data leaders have implemented Great Expectations. Sign up here to join the next one!
Now, let's dive into the roundup.
Roadmap Update
We covered:
Upcoming launches
Our current focus: how we’re creating a seamless integration with Great Expectations Cloud
The v16 release (Fall 2022), including smoothing out the onboarding experience, new Data Connectors, and Metrics Storage
And more!
Feature Demo
For July’s feature demo, Austin Robinson shared how to create a new class of Expectation, Query-Based Expectations. Query-Based Expectations allow Great Expectations to process your data query as a metric and provide the results back to you. Check out the video:
New documentation will be available next week and we’ll update this blog.

Community Spotlight
This month the spotlight was on Secoda and we were joined by Etai Mizrahi - cofounder of Secoda.
Etai introduced Secoda, which functions as a search engine for company data. He covered where Great Expectations is stored and how to get it set up with Secoda, how the integration works, and the results of the integration. He showed how the integration queries Great Expectations metadata and pulls it into Secoda. Test information is made available in Secoda, allowing you to view the status of your tests and configure notifications.
