An Update for the Great Expectations Community
We have an important update to share about Great Expectations. We have been acquired!
Great Expectations started as a global community of practitioners joining together, sharing knowledge, contributing ideas, and helping move the practice of data quality forward. Over the past several years, data teams of all shapes and sizes have used Great Expectations to build trust in their data.
This next chapter builds on that foundation, and we’re excited about it.
Changes to GX Cloud
As part of this transition, the acquiring company will discontinue GX Cloud, opting to incorporate it into their existing technology platform. Beginning June 1, GX Cloud will no longer be publicly available.
If you are currently using GX Cloud you should have already received information about timelines, support and next steps.
More details on GX Cloud’s future will be available soon.
GX Core and the Community
The Great Expectations community has always been about data practitioners working through real data quality problems. The community’s contributions to Great Expectations made the product what it is today, and helped thousands of data practitioners build trust in their data.
We’re excited to have found an industry-leading team that shares our passion for data and data quality to guide the community in its next chapter. Under this new stewardship, the community will continue to grow and thrive.
