Hang around the Great Expectations community, and it won’t be long before you meet TJ Holsman, GX’s new senior developer advocate!
TJ has extensive experience with identifying and meeting the needs of technical communities through the past nine years of their career. At Adobe, Fivetran, and most recently Asana, they led efforts to drive partner success through technical enablement and certification, live events and hands-on labs, and advocating for partners across internal product and go-to-market teams.
As a senior developer advocate, TJ will be one of the leading voices within GX, guiding our work to best serve the needs of our users.
“One of the things I’m most looking forward to is working with the data community,” they said. “I’m excited to learn more about the role that data quality is playing in our users’ stacks, and to be able to use my technical partner development experience to empower a broader audience.”
That chance to directly interact with a larger community—the GX Slack has 9,700 users and counting—is one of the things that brought TJ to GX.
“GX has an excellent reputation in the data community, which I heard reinforced whenever I mentioned I was considering a role at GX,” they said. “GX is at a growth stage where every single person is in a position to make an impact, which really appealed to me. And I had really positive experiences with everyone that I interviewed with. Putting all that together, I knew GX was the right next step in my career.”
TJ lives in San Francisco with their two cats and uses light mode for all their digital endeavors. Outside of work, they’re active in community organizing, can often be found exploring SF on foot, and enjoy playing guitar and piano.
