Data quality is a fast-growing industry, and it grew by one more when Javed Shaik joined the GX team as a software engineer!
Javed became familiar with data quality the hard way: by encountering data quality problems, particularly with payments data, in his previous software engineering roles at Finix and Salesforce. In joining GX, he’s looking forward to being part of the data quality solution.
"There's still a lot of room for new ideas and viewpoints in data quality," Javed said. "And the team here is deeply passionate about solving this problem. I'm excited to be a part of this journey and to learn about data."
Javed will be focusing on GX's collaboration-oriented features, which is especially fitting given that he joined GX in part for the opportunity to collaborate with his new colleagues.
"There are many really talented people that are very technical in their craft when it comes to thinking about data systems [at GX]," he said. "They're exactly the type of people I like to surround myself with."
Javed is based out of Ellicott City, MD. When not at the computer (using light mode by day and dark mode by night, for maximum eye comfort), he can often be found reading, or playing tennis or poker. He also enjoys travel, with his favorite destination so far being the Sahara Desert in Morocco.
